Set listed below Spooner’s Mesa– roughly a mile south of the Tijuana River and east of the Pacific Ocean– this distinct 79-acre campground uses breathtaking views of the valley, with connections to over 20 miles of routes taken pleasure in by hikers, bicycle riders and equestrians. It contains a nature education center, 51 primitive campgrounds and is likewise the very first County campground to provide yurts– covered outdoor camping areas with doors, windows, bed frames and space for 6 to 10 individuals. Tijuana River Valley is among the only remaining areas in San Diego County with linked beach, dune, salt marsh, riparian and upland communities. The valley is rich in varied natural deposits and is home to lots of sensitive types, in addition to more than 340 bird species as part of the Pacific Flyway.
