are located in gorgeous Trabuco and Live Oak Canyons. The park is greatly wooded with coast live oak and sycamore trees. The hillsides surrounding the park are filled with cactus, wild buckwheat, sagebrush and chaparral of scrub oak, buckthorn and mountain mahogany. Trabuco and Hickey Creeks also meander through the park, streaming in winter and early spring, dry in summertime and fall. system. Activities The park serves both as an over night camping and day-use/picnic center. Picnic areas vary in size and are readily available on
a first-come, first-served basis or by booking. Barbeques and picnic tables are offered throughout the park. Call the park for more information. More than 23 miles of picturesque tracks can be explored by foot, bicycle or horseback. Other day use activities include horseshoe pits, two large neighborhood grass areas and a children’s play area. The Arroyo camping area uses 79 campgrounds differing in size to accommodate RVs or camping tent camping for up to eight people per site. Reservations for private websites can be made online, by phone
or face to face. The park provides eight big group camping sites for celebrations of 17 or more and 5 equestrian campsites, each equipped with horse corrals, barbecues and fire pits. Appointments for groups of 17 or more can be made by calling the park office at (949) 923-2260.
