Camping

O’ahu parks serve a diverse and largely inhabited urban community quite different from our next-door neighbor island parks. For that reason unique guidelines and procedures apply to O’ahu outdoor camping. There is no outdoor camping readily available at State Parks on Oahu Wednesday and Thursday nights. Sand Island State Park is just open to camping Friday through Sunday nights. Licenses for O’ahu outdoor camping can be gotten no greater than 1 month beforehand.

Outdoor camping is used at four O’ahu parks. All chances are for tent outdoor camping with basic developed campsites.
