On Saturday, crowds were mesmerized by a ‘snownado’, a rare weather occasion caused by a mix of wind and snow.
This phenomenon, in some cases referred to as a snow devil, can take place when the surface windshear develops a vortex over the snow cover. This results in a whirling column of snow increasing upwards.
The astounding video footage was taken by Tiktok user, Dree Kinder. It has now been seen by over one million users.
