VIEW: Playful Wolf Simply Wants a Teeny Bite of a Grizzly’s Meal

Trevor LaClair is a wildlife professional photographer and nature guide in places like Yellowstone National Park. Among the best wildlife minutes he’s ever come across was last spring in Yellowstone, when he came across a grizzly bear gnawing on a carcass it had actually pulled from a frozen pond.

LaClair and his group had actually simply settled in to watch the bear when things got so much better. A really lively wolf came to see what the bear would share, however the grizzly was in no mood for the wolf’s puppy antics.

In the video, you see the grizzly standing defensively over its valued carcass as 2 wolves hover close by. The bear whacks at the wolf that attempts get closest and nearly falls into the pond (smooth). But the wolf appears like it’s ready to play fetch. It jumps around, wags its tail, and looks all set to catch the bear or that tasty meat.

In truth, not just is the wolf not prevented by the bear’s swat, it looks like it wishes to hang out and be pals. We can simply picture the wolf thinking: “C’mon, just one tiny bite? Please? Please?”

In his caption, LaClair says: “This was the very best thing I have actually ever seen. It was hard not to laugh at this interaction. After a while, the grey wolf gave up and laid down close by, waiting patiently for a piece of meat.”

Ultimately, he says the grizzly left and 2 of the wolves finally got a taste of what remained of the carcass.

“That wolf certainly left me with a substantial grin on my face,” included LaClair. “Nature is amazing!”

A really spirited wolf pertained to see what a grizzly bear would share, however the bear was in no state of mind for the wolf’s pup antics.
