‘The Nopiest Nope in Nopeland’: Mountain Biker Rides the Tiniest Sliver of Ridge in the Dolomites

“Out of all the nopes in Nopeland, this might be the nopiest nope of them all.” This fine quote originates from a person on Instagram who viewed mountain cyclist Marco Bassot’s recent video of him riding a hardly there ridge in the Italian Dolomites. She states what we’re all thinking: It’s the nopiest nope of them all. We’re also left with a great deal of concerns, like how? And why?

Basso is an Italian snowboarder and mountain cyclist who does some extreme things– in some cases in the snow and in some cases on a bike. This time, he’s method up on a frightfully narrow ridge someplace in the Dolomite mountain range, and he’s riding a mtb.

The video is brief, mercifully. It shows Basso riding the ridge with outrageous drops all around him. Then, he stops to enjoy the view. We never get to see how he turns around and goes back.

In his caption, Basso calls this “the most breathtaking ridge of the Dolomites.” He also adds: “No mistake enabled.” (You think??)

After you pick your jaw back up from the flooring, consider one of the leading discuss the video, declaring it’s not genuine.

The nay-sayer says: “I think this is fake, it’s not genuine.”

The comment stimulates quite an argument, with many individuals pointing out that the video camera angle makes that ridge look more impossibly narrow than it likely is in reality.

While we do concur that the camera angle skews reality, it’s still the nopiest nope in Nopeland for us.

A mountain cyclist’s current video of him riding a hardly there ridge in the Italian Dolomites is scary, and we can’t stop enjoying.
