The Havener family was delighting in an afternoon in their yard, when nature came calling. A cougar chased a small animal through the Monroe, Washington backyard, pausing briefly as it came within a couple of feet of the mom and daughter and their pup. The mountain lion looked just as startled to see the human beings as the people were to see the lion. Then, the good news is, the animal proceeded.
In a video caught by the household’s security electronic cameras, the cougar sprints across the yard. It appears to be chasing a house feline when it comes onto the deck and concerns an abrupt stop. Below a shade umbrella, the mother, child, and puppy are being in chairs. The mountain lion looks at them, enough time for the house cat to make a fantastic escape, then the cougar follows it off screen.
Possibly the most painful minute for those viewing who comprehend mountain lion behavior is when the young girl takes off running towards your home. The good news is, because flash, the mountain lion decided to turn and follow the cat rather of chasing after the girl.

In an interview with ABC News, Greg Havener says when he saw the mountain lion in the backyard, he had just sufficient time to recognize what it was and register that it didn’t have anything in its mouth as it fled.
Professionals recommend that if you can be found in contact with a mountain lion that you do not range from it. Rather, make yourself appear large and intimidating. Make loud sounds and use your arms to make your body look bigger.
