Saved Bear Has No Cares worldwide as She Drifts in a Pond

Sometimes, a bear simply needs a relaxing float in a pond on a summer season day. A rescued bear named Sonya understands how to do it right, based on a recent YouTube video from the Orphaned Wildlife Center. The not-for-profit wildlife rehabilitation center in Otisville, New york city said: “Notice how [Sonya] effortlessly drifts with her toes adorably protruding. Truly wonderful to witness.”

Honestly, it is wonderful. In the two-minute video, you can see Sonya drifting with just her back paws and head poking out of the water. Then, she swims to the side of the pond, has fun with a piece of driftwood for a while, then goes back to floating on her back. At one point, she has all four paws and her head above the water.

It looks very serene, like she has no cares worldwide.

The Orphaned Wildlife Center’s objective is to provide a safe home for orphaned animals and prepare them to go back to a life in the wild. Regrettably, Sonya, a Syrian brown bear, isn’t a candidate for release.

“All of the Syrian brown bears pertained to us from a breeding program that remained in location to attempt to conserve the types,” the Orphaned Wildlife Center states on its website. “The Syrian bears are really threatened and the hope was to begin a breeding program to conserve them. When that fell through, a few of those bears concerned us.”

Due to the fact that Syrian brown bears are foreign to the United States, the center can’t launch them. However, it definitely appears like Sonya is making the most of her carefree life.
