Bookings are accepted at many camping sites and at parks with reservable group day-use centers. While reservations are not needed to camp, they are advised because websites and facilities fill rapidly. Other things to know:
Same-day online bookings now available statewide since Jan. 1, 2024. That suggests most Oregon State Park camping areas will enable visitors to make same-day camping appointments online.
Previously, visitors might just make online reservations 24 hr in advance of their arrival date. Now visitors can make online appointments on the exact same day that they plan to camp at most parks. Learn more at https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=v.feature-article&articleId=323.
