
Lake Roosevelt National Leisure Area
Marcus Island Camping area is tucked into the trees on the lake coast. The camping area is greatly shaded and, in the summertime, has shoreline on three sides. The main access roadway is single lane and winding, but campers flock to this shaded location in summer season. A boat launch with parking is available before reaching the camping area.
Appointment only camping site with 25 sites. A little boat launch is available before you reach the campground when the water levels are high.

2024 Overall Fire Limitations in Effect at Lake Roosevelt National Leisure Location
Coulee Dam, WA– Due to extreme conditions, all fires at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area are restricted reliable 12:01 am, Thursday, July 11, 2024, up until further notification. No open flames are allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, all fires in NPS provided fire rings and boxes, shoreline fires, charcoal fires, tiki torches, incense burners, candle lights, pellet cigarette smokers, and propane campfires. Only self-contained propane or gas ranges and lanterns are permitted during the full fire ban.
The burn restriction assists to lower the chance of human-caused wildfires throughout prolonged high summertime temperature levels. Usage caution when smoking and do not dispose of cigarette butts. Releasing, or using any sort of fireworks, tracer ammo or other incendiary devices in any place on federal lands is always forbidden.

Booking just campground. No very first come first served sites readily available. Reservation only. For appointments book here, or call 877-444-6777. There is no cell service so make certain to make your appointments beforehand.

Fires are permitted in the fire rings year-round, EXCEPT when the fire threat ranking reaches a vital level as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the location that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.

Weekly Boat Release Authorizations should be purchased on line at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/656441199. Please purchase prior to your journey. Yearly Boat Release Licenses are available personally by vendor only.

The historic St. Paul’s Objective, which is run by the National forest Service, is located about eleven south of the campground in the town of Kettle Falls. Likewise in the location are Fort Colville and the Hudson Bay Business Post on the Upper Columbia. St. Paul’s Mission. Sherman drive, a picturesque loop, neighbors.
Recreation
The boat launch provides access to the lake when the water is high. Supplies a good shaded campground in a gorgeous evergreen forest. Popular for campers, families and fisherman alike.

Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window
Specific Campgrounds: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND surrender the opening night’s usage cost (not to go beyond the overall paid for the initial appointment). Cancellations for a one-night booking will forfeit the whole amount paid and will not go through an additional service charge.

Driving Instructions
Take Washington state Highway 395 north from Spokane. Travel 70.3 miles to the town of Kettle Falls, take Highway 25 north and travel 5.7 miles. Follow indications to the campground. It is on the west side of the highway.
