Someplace in Florida, a brave dog showed definitely no fear as he frightened an alligator from a family’s back patio. In a video posted by Natalia Rojas, a self-taught artist and illustrator, to her public, art-focused Instagram page, it’s clear whose house this is. And it’s not the gator’s house.
At the start of the clip, a female looks around a wall at an alligator simply a foot away on the other side of a moving glass door. She states, “Go away.”
Then, the family’s pet dog, a beagle called Pinto, comes near the door, notices the alligator, and immediately begins barking. The abrupt sound scares the alligator, which noticeably shocks when it hears the pet dog barking. Then, the gator runs away rather comically, as its tail whips back and forth.

After her video went viral, Rojas got tired of unkind comments and turned commenting off on the original video. In a follow-up post, she composed, “If you came for my gator video, I hope you remain for my art.”
