Homeowners Mistakenly Trap Fox in Garden. You’ll Never Think How.

Imagine the homeowners’surprise when they came out to their garden and discovered a trapped fox with its head through the plughole of their sink.

That’s right, according to the South Essex Wildlife Health Center (SEWH) as reported by the Killeen Daily Herald, property owners were “sorting out a shed and occurred to leave [the sink] lying sideways when the poor creature chose to stick his head inside.”

The trapped fox had actually likely been stuck for a few hours before house owners found it. The animal had attempted desperately to leave, bloodying its paws in the process. Property owners signaled SEWH, and a rescuer named Tom concerned the fox’s aid.

In an Instagram post detailing the rescue, SEWH says Tom had experience with this type of rescue. “With a little wiggling and perseverance, [Tom] handled to get the cub totally free,” SEWH composed in the caption.

Tom hurried the fox cub to the wildlife healthcare facility, repaired its hurt paw, and set the cub on medication to lower swelling.

“Although [the fox] is still in the early days of treatment, Tom is doing his best and we are hoping this youngster will make a full recovery,” SEWH stated.

SEWH’s post contains some slightly graphic content of the rescue.
