
It’s International Day of Forests, a day committed back in 2012 to each year commemorating all types of forests and raising awareness about their value. There are some incredible U.S. forests, including national forests, national parks, and forest reserves to explore and take pleasure in.

Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina

Coconino National Park, Arizona
Northern Arizona’s Coconino National Forest is a varied location that incorporates a series of ecosystems, consisting of Ponderosa pine forests, desert, and the popular red rocks of Sedona. It’s a wonderful piece of the American Southwest.
Salmon-Challis National Park, Idaho
The Salmon-Challis National park of east-central Idaho includes more than 4.3 million acres. Included in this vast wilderness is the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Location, which the U.S. Forest Service states is the largest adjoining wilderness area in the continental U.S.
Chugach National Forest, Alaska
This U.S. National park in south-central Alaska broadens throughout 5.4 million acres. Chugach National Forest is an amazing place to trek, camp, and view wildlife such as black bears, bald eagles, moose, mountain goats, and more.
