Buena Vista Camping Site
Buena Vista Camping Site remains in Kern County’s popular Buena Vista Aquatic Entertainment Area, 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield and just a number of miles off Interstate 5. The park’s piece de resistances are 86-acre Lake Evans and 998-acre Lake Webb. Lake Evans is designated for sailing, fishing, and a maximum of 5-MPH boating. Lake Webb is a preferred for boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, and fishing. Swimming is allowed in posted swim lagoons.
Buena Vista Campground features 112 camping areas for RVs, trailers, and tents on a peninsula near the Lake Webb marina. A variety of the sites are lake-front. All the camping areas are pull-though with area for up to 2 recreational vehicles per site. Just one car, however, may be connected to the electrical hook-ups at any one time. Multiple camping tents may be erected as long as they are within the camping site limits.
Overflow camping for one automobile is readily available when needed in defined areas for $6 per night. Group camping site bookings can be made in the off-peak season just (October 16 – March 14) and when scheduling 10 or more campsites at one time. Costs for groups are $8 per site.
