Lest we forget the most diva bear that ever graced a path camera, we simply had to revive the story of a black bear in Colorado that found a path video camera and managed to take 400 selfies, which is excellent by anybody’s requirements. Unlike the black bear we recently covered that attempted to eat a path cam, this black bear knew precisely what to do with it– posture.
The City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) has 9 trail video cameras throughout its 46,000-acre land system “to assist the department learn more about how local wildlife species use the landscape around us while minimizing staff existence in sensitive habitats.” When OSMP obtained video from among its electronic cameras, personnel discovered that of the 580 photos it recorded, almost 70% of them (400) were close-up shots of this one bear.
We believe the bear managed to record its silver lining, wouldn’t you concur?

The bear had its do it yourself photo shoot back in January 2023, and we can’t assist but question, did she or he returned for more? With such a curious disposition, we would not be amazed if the bear did this again if it ever comes across another path web cam.
