< img src=" https://savageventures.b-cdn.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/bird-in-a-tortilla-2.jpg?w=1080 "alt="" > A Texas family was delighting in summer this past weekend, swimming and barbecuing, when they saw an infant bird on the ground. The bird was alone and looked like it required the heat of its mother and nest. Regrettably, without any mom birds or nests available, the household considered what they did have– flour tortillas. Somebody warmed a tortilla up on the grill and after that covered the infant bird in it before calling for help.

The Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center took the call. The center required to Facebook to share the unusual story.

” Undoubtedly, [the tortilla] was an inventive method to keep the infant warm, and remarkably, it was effective,” the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center stated in its post. “The hatchling is presently en route back to the facility. Wildlife Rescue is always filled with dynamic and unforeseen moments.”

Upon arrival at the rescue center, wildlife professionals recognized the bird as a Mississippi kite, and they named it “Taquito.”
