Nerri Denagall Brown was checking out the Walmart in Pineville, Louisiana today when she found an unanticipated product in her shopping cart. Right where she generally stows her kids in the cart, there was a venomous snake. Brown infers in her Facebook post that she didn’t even see the snake initially; another customer pointed it out to her. Brown stated she’s grateful she took her kids to day care rather of to the shop with her.
The snake appears to be a juvenile cottonmouth snake, based upon its coloring and bright yellow tail idea, which generally fades to black with age. The northern cottonmouth or water moccasin is a poisonous snake discovered throughout the southeastern United States, consisting of Louisiana.
These snakes can be approximately 6 feet long and their bites can be lethal, though fatalities are uncommon. However, a venomous snake is absolutely not what Brown wanted in her Walmart shopping cart, and it gave her quite a scare.
