Visitors to California’s state parks have a brand-new platform for scheduling appointments. The new appointment system, ReserveCalifornia ™, will be easy-to-use and similar to scheduling hotels, airline tickets and other equivalent services.
Reservations can be made either online or by phone:
- Online: Bookings are offered 24 hr a day, 7 days a week on www.ReserveCalifornia.com.
- Phone: Consumer Call Center. The center is available 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST (except New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). The best times to call are midday and midweek, when the phone lines are less hectic.
ReserveCalifornia ™ provides more easy to use web services and greater accessibility to more visitors for highly sought-after outdoor camping and lodging areas in the Golden State.
A range of brand-new functions will be phased in between August 1 and March 1, 2018, consisting of moving from a first-of-the-month on-sale days to a brand-new rolling window appointment service. This indicates that visitors will be able to reserve campsites and lodging six months ahead of time from the current date. Camping and lodging inventory will become available each day for a period of six months ahead of time. Reservations might extend from the arrival date to the preferred departure date– based on availability and the park’s optimum stay guidelines.
For instance, on August 1 a visitor will be able to reserve a camping area beginning February 1, 2018 through as lots of consecutive days as the park permits. The reservation could extend from February 1-14, 2018 if the park enables a 14-day stay. The rolling window changes for months longer or much shorter than 31 days.
