Chris Miles (@miles_away_fishing) remained in his fishing kayak when he spotted 2 ospreys in the water, locked together by the talons. Miles says the birds had locked talons in the air throughout a fight and “death spiraled” into the bay. Whoops.
Luckily, Miles existed and going to help to the very best of his capability. He comes up close to the birds, which look pretty wet and worthless in their precarious scenario, and he gently uses his paddle to separate the birds’ talons.
It’s at this point in the video that Miles’s commentary takes control of as the primary factor we’re still watching. (We came for the birds and stayed for the small talk, and you will too.)
After Miles separates the ospreys, one removes, but the other is too worn out to fly. Since Miles is the hero of the day, he does not stop there. He handles to make certain the second osprey gets air-borne once again too.
View a kayaker untangle two ospreys with some funny commentary:
As Miles gives the 2nd Osprey a lift to the mangrove trees that surround the bay, he names the bird “Ozzy.” He says after a good kayak ride and some rest, Ozzy flew off securely.
The birds were lucky Miles existed, and so are we.
A kayaker untangles two ospreys locked together by the talons, however he does it to the tune of some humorous commentary.
