Can You Spot the Mountain Lion in This Image?

You can certainly see the elk in the photo below, however can you find the mountain lion? That’s right– someplace in this photo, there’s a mountain lion stalking the elk that’s hunched over in the foreground. The cougar is so camouflaged that it’s nearly difficult to identify till you truly look for it. (Zooming up on the photo helps, too.)

USFWS states: “This photo was taken as part of a tracking job looking at the success of restoring arroyos at Rio Mora National Wildlife Sanctuary and Conservation Area in New Mexico. The image demonstrates how skilled mountain lions are at mixing in while they stalk their prospective prey.”
