Lakeview Campground at Coyote Lake
Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Cattle ranch County Park tops nearly 7,000 acres in the hills east of Gilroy. Visitors to the park enjoy 450-acre Coyote Lake for boating, waterskiing, and fishing. The lake is known for its black bass along with bluegill, crappie, and Eurasian carp. Wildlife abounds in the location with sightings of deer, turkeys, and a variety of birds common. Mountain bikers, hikers, and horseback riders enjoy miles of trails. No swimming is permitted in the lake.
Lakeview Camping area has 73 sites for RVs, trailers, and tents along the southwestern side of the lake. Of those sites, 18 have water and electrical hook-ups. Campgrounds are amongst commonly spread oaks in open grassy areas next to the lake. Camping areas do not have privacy.
Keep in mind: There are entry and launch booking charges for boat in addition to evaluation charges. See Santa Clara County Park Charges. The lake is closed to all boating from mid-October to mid-April.

Lakeview Camping Site Group Camping Area
Lakeview Campground’s group website has area for up to 40 individuals and 9 automobiles. The earliest check-in on day of arrival is 3:00 PM and most current check-out time on day of departure is 1:00 PM. Each of the group campsites has a picnic table and a barbeque pit and/or fire ring. Youth groups must be chaperoned by at least 1 grownup for each 10 children.
