Joseph D. Grant County Park is located in the east of Santa Clara Valley.
The Park is accessible from San Jose by means of both Quimby Rd. and Alum Rock/Mt. Hamilton. Please remember that Quimby Road is very narrow and is not appropriate for RV’s and large trailers.
When all roadways are open travel to the park by taking Highway 101 or Highway 680 to Alum Rock Avenue eastbound in San Jose. Turn right onto Mt. Hamilton Roadway and take a trip 8 miles to reach the park entryway.
Activities
Hikers and equestrians have access to an extensive 51 mile path system. Mountain bikes are allowed on over 75% of the park’s routes as designated. The varied path system at the park makes this a popular place to stage massive arranged path events such as equestrian endurance rides, mtb occasions and foot races.
