Rob Lowe told Kelly Ripa on a recent episode of his podcast Actually! that he got a Bigfoot costume for his 60th birthday. The very first thing he did after opening the Sasquatch fit was put it on and stroll down the street.
The star turned 60 last month and had a lavish birthday party, according to Lowe’s small talk with Ripa, who got on his case for not welcoming her to the celebration.
Lowe shares the news about his birthday gift beginning around 38:20 on the episode, which includes explicit language. He states: “The very first present I got for my 60th birthday, somebody got me– and I’m not kidding– a real Bigfoot costume. And what did I do? I put it on instantly– right away– and walked the street in a [curse] Bigfoot costume. […] I have the spirit of a 13-year-old young boy.”
It’s not the very first time Lowe has actually dressed up like Bigfoot. He when rented a Sasquatch fit and brought it along on a family outdoor camping journey. His objective was to prank his 2 children, and it worked– possibly a little too well.
He told Kelly Clarkson: “We were going to the Pacific Northwest, where Bigfoot supposedly lives, so I rented an actually intricate Bigfoot outfit and I hid it in the Winnebago that we were driving, and then I hopped out in the middle of the night and walked the campfire in the distance making, like, awful sounds.”
Lowe said his children had to do with six and 8 years of ages at the time. One of them responded by kicking him in the groin, and the other one vomited.
He called the trick, “a household highlight.”
If you live in or around Los Angeles– or anywhere, truly– just remember that the next time you spot Bigfoot, it might truly be Rob Lowe on the down low.
