WATCH: Infant ‘Ninja Turtles’ Being Launched Will Make Your Day

< img src= "https://savageventures.b-cdn.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/turtle-hatchlings.jpeg?w=1200"alt=" "> A team from Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Rescue Group launched a couple of saved turtle hatchlings into their native river after their mom ended up being caught in a fence in the middle of laying her eggs. The mommy could not be conserved from her injuries, but her infants lived, thanks to the team’s intervention.

The animal-care personnel nurtured the 2 eggs that were still in the mother’s body when they found her caught. The eggs hatched and, when all set, the Wildlife Rescue Group took the hatchlings back to the river and launched them.

While the types isn’t defined in the video, the hatchlings appear to be white-throated snapping turtles, thanks to their jagged edges, which the members of the rescue group joked appear like “ninja stars”– making the babies “ninja turtles.”

White-throated snapping turtles just reside in the central-coastal Queensland location of Australia, and they are critically threatened.
